Prior to Generate, as the Founder and CEO of SunEdison (NASDAQ: SUNE), Shah pioneered “no money down solar”, which unlocked a multi-billion-dollar solar market and became the largest solar services company worldwide before its acquisition by MEMC. Shah is the author of Creating Climate Wealth: Unlocking the Impact Economy. After SunEdison, Shah served as the founding CEO of the Carbon War Room, a global non-profit founded by Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Unite to help entrepreneurs address climate change.

Shah holds an M.B.A. from The University of Maryland and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
